RETREAT COST

Our goal is to keep this retreat affordable and transparent so you can focus on community and spiritual growth.

The total cost for the weekend is $125 per person, with a $40 deposit needed prior to the Retreat. These costs include:

2 night, 3 days of lodging in modern cabins or camping spaces
All meals from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch
Worship + teaching sessions
Small‑group materials
Some transportation to activities
Group games
Retreat activities (hiking, campfire night, fellowship events)*
Retreat welcome pack

Does not include:

Transportation costs to and from retreat.

Housing Accommodations

Cross Bar X Youth Ranch is a Christ‑centered ministry nestled in the mountains of Durango, Colorado. For decades, it has served as a place where young people and adults step away from the noise of daily life to encounter God, build meaningful relationships, and enjoy the beauty of His creation.

Lodging Option

Comes with:

Lodges

Cross Bar X Youth Ranch offers three different housing accommodations, which includes a small collection of rustic, functional buildings designed for community life, teaching, meals, and housing. Each building supports the retreat’s goals of fellowship, clarity, and Christ‑centered connection.

Alpine Lodge

Women's lodging

Sleeps up to 35

Alpine Lodge is the primary women’s lodging for the retreat. It offers a clean, comfortable, and community‑oriented environment designed to support fellowship, safety, and rest. Room layout is:

Two large rooms that sleep 6-8 people
6 small rooms that sleep 2-3 people
Traditional bunkbeds
Two different bathroom areas, each with 2 toilets, two showers, and two sinks)
Alpine also includes a full kitchen, game room, laundry room, living and dining rooms, and two rooms with queen beds (for staff/teachers only)

The Bunkhouse

Men's lodging

Sleeps up to 35

The Bunkhouse is the designated men’s lodging. It provides a rustic, camp‑style environment ideal for camaraderie, simplicity, and shared community life. The room layout is:

Two large main rooms that sleep 10-12 people
Two loft rooms that sleep 5-6 people
Traditional bunk beds
Main floor rooms have direct access to bathrooms, (three toilets, two showers and three sinks) which are shared with loft spaces
Bunkhouse also includes access to propane firepit, basketball court, and snack bars

Cabin Truth

Overflow Housing

Sleeps up to 16

(assigned to men or women based on need)

Cabin Truth serves as flexible overflow housing for either men or women depending on registration numbers. Room layout is:

One large room that sleeps up to 16 people
Traditional bunkbeds
Bathroom with 2 toilets, 2 sinks, and 2 showers.
Cabin Truth includes a kitchenette, a couch, and table seating.
Includes a short hike to main camp facility, so please lets us know if you have concerns.

Men's Camp Site

The Men's camping Area provides a simple, outdoors‑focused housing option for attendees who prefer a rustic retreat experience. It remains fully aligned with the retreat’s standards of modesty, safety, and same‑gender housing. Campers stay in a designated area on the Cross Bar X property, close to bathhouses and within walking distance of all retreat activities. Campers will have:

Same‑gender tent areas
Tents (upon request)
Access to bathhouse (showers, sinks, toilets)
Storage room for valuables
Staff‑monitored grounds and nightly check‑ins
In extreme weather situations, participants will be welcomed to stay in the lodges.

Woman's Camp Site

The woman's camping area provides a simple, outdoors‑focused housing option for attendees who prefer a rustic retreat experience. It remains fully aligned with the retreat’s standards of modesty, safety, and same‑gender housing. Campers stay in a designated area on the Cross Bar X property, close to bathhouses and within walking distance of all retreat activities. Campers will have:

Scholarship Work-Trade Option

Current Availability: 10 spots

Our Work‑Trade Scholarship Program allows participants to serve before or during the retreat in exchange for reduced or covered registration costs. This option helps make the retreat accessible while giving each person a meaningful way to contribute to the weekend.

Participants in the Work‑Trade Scholarship agree to arrive early, stay later, and help with practical needs throughout the weekend. This includes assisting with setup before the retreat begins, supporting tasks during meals, and helping with cleanup after everyone heads home. Your service helps keep costs low and creates a smooth, welcoming experience for all.

In return, you will get to take part in games, activities, events, sessions, and free housing in the Alpine or Bunkhouse lodgings. You will be assigned certain times or activities to help, but any other time will be for you to experience the fun of the retreat. A $35 deposit will be required.

We give special preference to applicants who are willing to serve in worship (such as singing or playing an instrument), those willing to help cook and wash dishes, as well as those able to stay after the retreat to assist with final cleanup. These roles help the weekend run smoothly and bless the whole group, so applicants ready to serve in these ways are especially appreciated. We only have space for 10 applicants per session, so apply soon!
